John Monds – Husband, Father, Teacher & Liberty Activist
John’s family has lived continuously in Georgia for over 150 years. His
Great-Great Grandparents were enslaved in Georgia and served as his inspiration for striving to secure true freedom and worship symbolic freedom. He was educated in both private and government schools from kindergarten to high school. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Banking and Finance from Morehouse College in Atlanta. He has been married to Kathaleena Monds for almost 25 years and they have raised four children two of which were born in Georgia. Their children have been homeschooled from K-12 and three have graduated college. His job as homeschool teacher was one of the toughest but most rewarding in his life. He serves his community through organizations such as Grady County Habitat for Humanity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and the NAACP Grady County Branch has had a common theme of helping those less fortunate than himself. His membership in the Libertarian Party has kept him from being politically homeless due to lack of trust in the other partys
